Separate linen garments from dark-colored or rough-textured fabrics to prevent damage or color bleeding.
Wash with cold or lukewarm water. Hot water can cause linen to shrink.
Use a mild detergent to keep the fabric soft and maintain its quality. Avoid detergents with bleach.
If possible, hand wash linen to prevent wear and tear:
Fill a basin with cold water and add a small amount of gentle detergent.
Soak the fabric for 10–15 minutes, then gently rub any soiled areas.
Rinse thoroughly until all detergent is removed.
If using a washing machine:
Select the delicate or gentle cycle.
Place linen garments in a laundry bag to protect them from friction.
After washing, do not wring linen too hard as it can damage the fibers. Gently press the water out instead.
Air dry linen naturally in a shaded area. Avoid direct sunlight, which can cause colors to fade.
Do not use a tumble dryer to prevent shrinkage.
Iron linen while it is slightly damp for the best results. Use a low to medium heat setting and, if needed, place a thin cloth over the linen while ironing.
With proper care, linen garments will remain beautiful and last longer.
